  Fort Environmental Laboratories' toxicological testing facilities are state of the art with over 5,200 square feet of laboratory space. This is the only commercial amphibian and reptilian research center in the U.S.
 
 

 

     
 
 
         
  Fort Environmental Laboratories has the facilities for the culture of most aquatic and terrestrial species. The culture rooms are suitable for the maintenance of 500 breeding tanks. The amphibian research laboratory is designated for the culture of adult and larval Xenopus laevis and Silurana (X.) tropicalis and is suitable for maintaining 2,500 breeding pair of adult frogs. We also maintain separate cultures of various lizard and native amphibian species, fathead minnow, zebrafish, and Medaka. In addition to traditional toxicology laboratory equipment, Fort Environment Laboratories also has molecular biology, histology/pathology, microscopes and analytical chemistry equipment.  
         
 
 
         
 

Fort Environmental Laboratories has twelve data collection and processing computers available for data analysis and management. The laboratory has four computers solely devoted to toxicological analysis, complete video imaging, digital data capture software, and photographic processing capabilities.
